날은 춥고 어둡고 쓸쓸도 하다
비 내리고 바람은 쉬지 않고
넝쿨은 아직 무너져 가는 벽에
떨어지지 않으려고 붙어 있건만
모진 바람 불 때마다 죽은 잎새 떨어지며
날은 어둡고 쓸쓸도 하다
비 내리고 바람은 쉬지도 않는구나
나는 아직 무너지는 옛날을
놓지 안으려고 부등켜안건만
질풍 속에서 청춘의 희망은 우수수 떨어지고
날은 어둡고 쓸뜰도 하다
조용하라, 슬픈 마음들이여!
한탄일랑 말지어다
구름 뒤에 태양은 아직 비치고
그대 운명은 뭇사람의 운명이려니
누구에게나 얼마간의 비는 내리고
어둡고 쓸쓸한 날 있는 법이니
